FAQ
Q: How much does this one day workshop cost and what do I get for my money?
A: $560 plus GST. Your investment gives you participation at the full day workshop meeting all the objectives stated (link to home page) - of specific value to you is: an excellent understanding of the ICF Core Competencies and the minimum skills required for each credential level; the great feedback on your coaching; the receipt of 2 letters from 2 Master Certified Coaches (given we agree to your level of competency); and 4 hours of group mentoring to count towards your ICF application for credentials. AND, that is not all… you get morning tea, afternoon tea and a light lunch, and time to mix with other amazing coaches!
Q: You mention light lunch above – what if I have special dietary requirements?
A: We often have sandwiches for lunch, so if you require anything different let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your dietary request.
Q: Does this workshop count as training or mentoring hours towards my ICF credentialing application?
A: YES, this day counts as 4 hours of group mentoring.
Q: I need 10 hours of mentoring – what else can I do?
A: After the Towards Mastery program, which counts for 4 hours of group mentoring, you can do a further 3 hours of group mentoring with Barbara or Belinda, and you will also need another 3 hours of 1-1 mentoring with either Barbara, Belinda or another credentialed coach. To be clear – the ICF requirement is 7 hours maximum of group mentoring, and at least 3 hours of individual mentoring – spread over a 3 month period.
Q: Will you write a letter for me for my ICF application?
A: Yes, Belinda and Barbara will write your letters of recommendation, given that they agree you are coaching at the level you wish to apply for. We will give you specific feedback on the day of what you are doing well, and what areas you need to improve.
Q: What if you don’t agree to write my letter?
A: If Belinda or Barbara feel you are not coaching at the level you wish to apply for, we will give you specific feedback which will assist you improve your coaching skills. After that we suggest you practice, and then you can come back to us when you are ready, and either provide a recorded session of coaching for us to listen to, or you can coach us live on the phone. This will incur an extra fee of $330 inc GST.
Q: Do you do Supervision?
A: YES, Barbara and Belinda are both capable of doing coach Supervision, and currently involved in gaining their own Supervision credentials.
Q: What happens if I register but then can't attend on the day?
A: We welcome substitutions for registrations. So if you find you can't attend on the day, simply find a colleague who can attend in your place. Then you can arrange the finances with that person. Given this is a boutique program, we don't refund or transfer registrations to other Towards Mastery days.
